Appleton,Wisconsin=A big whomp whomp
I wish I could be super excited for the city I’m in but that would be a straight up lie! APPLETON, WISCONSIN what can I say……I really can’t think of anything to say sadly:-( And that says alot because I can usually think of something to say about everything. So where do I begin…
We left Chicago yesterday around 12:45pm on a big charter bus similar to greyhound, but way cleaner and alot less smelly! The drive from Chicago to Appleton was about 3.5 hrs which isn’t a bad drive at all, but if you add me to any moving object that I’m not driving, BOOM I’m down for the count, like out cold! I don’t know why but it happens every time, but back to Appleton. So I wake up as were driving down the ONE, yes I said one, main road into Appleton and literally like a ghost town. And I’m pretty sure, no make that positive that I myself make up 100% of the black population lmao. You know when you drive through the historical parts of towns and everything is old and antique, that’s literally Appleton. It reminded me of something you would see in the 1950’s. Which was really cute in all if maybe you were just passing through it to another city, but 4 WEEKS OF THIS! Really like really just kill me now….
So as were driving down the one main(yes one I’ll keep saying it so you can all feel my pain) street to our hotel, I remember looking out the window of the bus and I saw an old pharmacy on the corner, and a cute little antique store. And then I spotted two stores that I never EVER thought would be attractions in a town. Are you ready for this people….the costume shop and right next door was the magic shop! GREATNESS! I think those 2 shops are going to be my entertainment while I’m here.
I am the biggest goof ball on the planet.I can guarantee that I will have a ball in those shops(I will blog about those experiences TRUST). So we pull up to the hotel which is really nice surprisingly. Cute little gift shop, work-out room, pool, jacuzzi, restaurants the normal. But sadly that’s about as good as it gets for Appleton. But there are two things that I am excited about while here and that would be that my parents are here and that my 1st show is tomorrow! So stay tuned for how it goes. Wish me luck!
I LOVE MAKE-UP
So I don’t know if alot of people know this about me but I’m very much into make-up. I love creating new looks on myself and on my friends. One of my closest friends Jalyce(she also has a blog so follow her snapjaesnap.tumblr.com) She said I should also document my make-up looks as well as my experience on the road with Wicked. Today was my day off since I got to Chi-town, so I decided to go and explore the city a bit today and it’s such a cute city! I wouldn’t mind living here one day…maybe if I could handle the winter every year! I love the architecture in the city, some of the buildings are so beautiful! CHICAGO!!
HELLO CHICAGO!! Yes everyone I’m in Chicago, Chi-Town, the Windy City, whatever you wanna call it I’m here! And yes it is cold as HELL here!!! But let’s reeewwwiiinnndddd…
So technically I’ve been in Chicago for a week already lol…yes I know I’m sooooo behind on my blogging. I really did not have anytime this week to blog. I promise I won’t get that behind EVER again! I’ve been running around like a mad woman this whole week. So speaking of this past week let’s recap shall we…
Rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal, oh and guess what else I did this week had MORE REHEARSAL! I’ve only seen my hotel room, the theater, and the rehearsal studio and that’s it I’m not exaggerating, THAT IS ALL! I’ve literally been in rehearsals ALL day EVERY day since I got here. My day starts around 12 and not getting back to my room till about hhhhmmmmm 10:30-11. This week alone I’ve had vocal rehearsal, hair/wig fittings, TONS of dance rehearsals(to the point that I thought my brain was gonna explode from learning so much choreography), costume fittings and more. I meet THE WHOLE cast, and I mean everyone! The dancers, singers, costume ppl, hair ppl, backstage ppl, tech ppl, producers, conductors, musicians, you name it I met them. I’m not gonna lie I’m HORRIBLE at remembering names. And I feel terrible because pretty much EVERYONE knows my name already and I can’t remember theres. You know when you see someone and they obviously know you and you can’t remember there name so you just say “Hey girl!”. That’s me to almost everyone! UUUGGGHH KILL ME I FEEL SO BAD! Unless I hear your name at least 10x a day I will not remember it.
I’ve watched the show almost every night that I’ve been here. From the audience and from backstage, and every time I get goosebumps! It’s just an amazing show period and I’m so excited to be a part of it. But I must say watching what happens backstage is like another world. SO MUCH HAPPENS BACK THERE THAT YOU WOULDN’T BELIEVE! I swear that show would not be able to run if it didn’t have that backstage crew! THEY ARE AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO! From the audience all you see is the performers, and being a dancer I know that theres a whole world behind the curtain that the audience doesn’t get to see, but these people have that backstage down to a science. God bless them!
So pretty much thats been my first week with the wonderful Wicked. I would get more detailed but that blog would be long as shit! Gotta keep it short and sweet you feel me:-) More blogs coming soon so keep reading! DEUCES

SCREW PACKING!!
I HATE PACKING IT FREAKING SUUUUCCCKKKKKSSSS!!
Now that I got that temper tantrum out, the day that I leave is quickly approaching and sadly I’m still packing UUUUGGGHHHH!! How do you pack for 6 months and not want to bring everything!!! If I said I’m stressed that would be a serious understatement. I over-pack for everything and I mean EVERYTHING! I could go away for a weekend I swear I’ll bring at least a medium size suitcase and half of it is shoes. You’d think I’d be stressing about packing my clothes ohhhhh nooooo I’m stressing over my SHOES!!! I LOVE MY SHOES! I’m a shoe addict, yes I said it a SHOE ADDICT!! Me and shoes are like peanut butter and jelly, they just go together you can’t have one without the other…YOU JUST CAN’T. A girl has to have her options right…well I like to think so:-) I’m a sucker for a sexy pump or a dope pair of sneaker! I’m sorry for this but I blame my mom(I love you mommy but I do)She passed the shoe obsession on to me and it’s been a problem ever since lol.
But back to this packing disaster… I’m allowed to bring 2 suitcase(and of course there the biggest ones I own) and the company provides me with a trunk, which I’m glad to say did relieve a HUUUUUGGGEEEE deal of my stress because I was going to literally die if I only had two suitcases! But still packing for 6 MONTHS ON THE ROAD! I’ll be going all over and of course the weather will change from cold to hot so guess what I’m not just packing for 1 season I’m packing for them all. Do you see why I’m stressed now? I literally have to bring a little bit of everything….jackets, sweaters, jeans, dance clothes, work-out clothes, shorts, skirts, dresses, SHOES, hats, bras, the list goes on and on…
So I’m gonna end with this… 1. PACKING STRESSES ME THE HELL OUT, 2. I’m still not done, 3. Pray that I don’t bring my whole closet and 4. I really hope these suitcases aren’t overweight because I’ll be damned if I have to pay for these bastards!!
First Blog Whot Whot!!
Ok so this is my first time doing anything like this and I owe this whole idea to one of my besties Jennifer aka J.Jo. Love you boo! So “Living My Dream” the title pretty much says it all, I’m finally making my dream a reality. And I must say its about DAMN TIME! LOL J/K

But anyways back to what this blog is actually about. For those of you who don’t know I landed my first big… wait let me change that my first HUGE job as a dancer. Hints the title “Living My Dream”. I’ll be touring with the National Tour of the Broadway Show…wait for it…. WICKED!! YYYAAAAYYYYYYYYY GO ME GO ME!(theres a victory dance happening as I type lol) but on a serious note if you don’t know what I’m talking about please look up the show, google it or youtube it do whatever you need to do to figure out what I’m talking about. But here’s a picture just to help you out!
Soooo after my dear friend Jen planted this whole idea about a blog in my head, I wont lie, I was really unsure if I wanted to do it. I kept thinking to myself who wants to hear about little ole’ me and my experience on the road for the 1st time, but then I thought to myself you know what F*@# THAT!!! Why the hell shouldn’t I blog about this experience! I finally made my dreams a reality and DAMNIT I’M GONNA TELL THE WHOLE WORLD ABOUT ALL OF IT…well maybe not all of it but majority of it lol. So this blog is dedicated to my future life on the road and all my experiences that are about to come along with it. So please stay tuned for future blogs! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! 2011 IS MY YEAR I’M MAKING THINGS HAPPEN!!
